Accessibility Statement
Effective Date: May 5, 2025
Last Updated: June 30, 2025
Entity: Know Your Developer, LLC ("KYD", "we", "our", or "us")
1. Statement of Commitment
Know Your Developer, LLC is committed to making our website and services accessible to individuals of all abilities. We believe that digital inclusion is fundamental to innovation, and we aim to ensure that all users—including individuals with disabilities—can access, understand, and interact with our content and tools. This commitment reflects both our organizational values and our obligations under applicable laws.
We design our website and platform with accessibility in mind, guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), and relevant legal frameworks including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and international regulations where applicable.
2. Scope of Accessibility
This Accessibility Statement applies to:
Any web-based services, tools, APIs, or dashboards operated by Know Your Developer, LLC
Public and private user experiences across desktop and mobile browsers
PDF downloads, digital reports, and other digital communications produced by KYD
Please note that while KYD may link to or embed third-party services or content, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party platforms or applications not directly managed by us.
3. Standards and Technical Approach
We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA, which includes—but is not limited to—the following principles:
Perceivable – All users should be able to perceive content regardless of sensory ability. This includes proper use of alt text, captions for videos, and readable text layout.
Operable – All functionality should be available using a keyboard. We avoid interactions that require a mouse or gestures alone.
Understandable – Text is written clearly, navigation is consistent, and error messages are descriptive.
Robust – Our site is designed to work with current and future technologies, including screen readers, screen magnifiers, and voice recognition software.
Specific Accessibility Features
Semantic HTML5 structure with ARIA labels
Alt text for all meaningful images and icons
Text resize compatibility and responsive design
Sufficient color contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text)
Logical heading hierarchy and focus indicators
Avoidance of content that flashes or blinks rapidly
Avoidance of time-based content expiration unless extendable
Support for users navigating via keyboard only
4. Continuous Accessibility Improvement
We recognize that accessibility is a continuous journey. We actively perform:
Automated and manual audits on a quarterly basis
Ongoing testing using screen readers (e.g., NVDA, VoiceOver)
Development lifecycle integration of accessibility best practices
Employee training on inclusive design and compliance
User feedback loops from people with disabilities
We work to remediate any identified issues promptly and consider accessibility a non-negotiable part of feature development and UX testing.

7. Third-Party Limitations
Our website may use third-party content, plug-ins, or integrations (e.g., analytics tools, embedded forms, or mapping services). While we encourage these vendors to adhere to WCAG and ADA requirements, KYD cannot control their accessibility practices and cannot guarantee full compliance for content outside our direct control.
If you experience an issue with a third-party feature, please notify us immediately so we can assess workarounds or escalate the concern with the provider.
8. Future Goals
We are currently working on additional accessibility features, including:
Enhanced support for dynamic content via ARIA live regions
Keyboard-accessible overlays for filtering and forms
Accessibility conformance reporting (VPAT)
Translation and localization support with accessibility in mind
We commit to publishing updates to this statement at least annually or as significant changes are made.
